Our History
Badger State Western, Inc., was founded in Abbotsford, Wisconsin in 1979 by Richard and Margo Seefluth. It quickly became one of the first LTL refrigerated carriers in Wisconsin. Richard’s idea for the company came to him while driving somewhere between Lusk and Orin Junction, Wyoming. Why not start a first-class trucking firm that catered to Owner Operators like himself, and that practiced business values rooted in family values? A good idea, indeed! The young business flourished as word spread to owner/operators about a company that honored and respected drivers and treated them like family. Through 40 years of successful growth, the Seefluth’s continue to operate Badger State Western, Inc., with an experienced and dedicated staff in Abbotsford, that still embraces the values that helped establish the company.
At Badger State Western Inc., we transport all types of freight but we excel at LTL refrigerated shipments of fresh produce and frozen products. Our fleet of 60 refrigerated trucks (operated by skilled, reliable drivers) plus two refrigerated break bulk facilities in Abbotsford, Wisconsin and Dell Rapids, South Dakota make us an ideal choice for on-time delivery of your quality products.
